The tool to read it should not cost you anything. Hero Tenaga is that tool, free for anyone with a TNB account, built and maintained independently.

Where does my data go?+
Your usage data stays on your device. It is read from the myTNB page in your browser, processed locally, and shown only to you. The only information that ever leaves your device is what you choose to share through the optional contribution survey at the end of the report.
What does the report show?+
A side-by-side comparison of your bill under both tariffs, your peak versus off-peak split, your usage pattern by hour of day, and a clear recommendation. Each bill you run is saved locally so you can compare across months, and you can delete bills you no longer want to keep at any time. If switching saves you money, you will see how much. If it does not, you will see why not.
What is Time-of-Use, exactly?+
An optional tariff TNB introduced where electricity costs more during weekday peak hours (2pm to 10pm) and less at all other times. If most of your usage falls outside peak hours, you pay less than the general tariff. If it does not, you pay more.
I am already on Time-of-Use. Can I use it?+
Yes. Hero Tenaga supports users already on the Time-of-Use tariff. The extension detects your peak and off-peak usage directly from your myTNB chart and shows your bill under both tariffs — so you can see whether switching back to General would save you money, or confirm that staying on TOU is the right call.
Does it work on mobile?+
Not yet. The current version runs as a desktop browser extension because that is where myTNB SmartLiving works best. A mobile-friendly approach is being explored.
